From our medium size to our Catholic, Jesuit identity, from our location in Milwaukee to our academic excellence, every student who attends Marquette has their own unique set of reasons for becoming a Golden Eagle. Once here, we believe it is our campus community, the availability of resources and support, and the opportunities for students both in the classroom and out that keep our students engaged through graduation, preparing them to go forth and set the world on fire.
My name's Ali De Luca. I'm majoring in public relations, and I'm minoring in marketing and digital media. And I'm originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
There are a couple of different factors that played into my decision to ultimately come to Marquette. Marquette has its own Diederich College of Communication. So it's a whole college just dedicated to communications. There's eight different majors within it. And so it's very specific and it's very hands on.
Another thing is that with our student media that we have available, you can get involved right away your freshman year. Your first week on campus, you can get involved if you wanted to. And I didn't find that with some other institutions I was looking at. So that's a really exciting kind of thing.
I chose Marquette over other institutions out of state just because it's close to home for me. So I wanted to stay close to my parents. I wanted to stay close to my family. And Marquette is in a centralized location where I'm not at home, I can still feel like I have my freedom. I'm learning how to be an adult. I'm learning how to navigate real world without having my parents just there baby stepping me throughout the whole process. And then outside of just the academic world of Marquette. I love Milwaukee.Back
